Soiree of Prof. Adam Dobronski
One of more important organizers and animators of cultural activities in the town is the Municipal Culture Center at which function among others artistic clubs for children and teenagers; dance groups: ‘Zament’, ‘Tonika’; „Bezwianka” Singing and Dancing Group, instrumental and vocal groups: ‘Banda Retro’, ‘Blues Company 07-300’, ‘Falhion’, a classical instruments band, a female guitar band, declamation group, singers and clubs: Senior’s Club and Outsize Club.
 
All-Poland Dance Festival "Wirujący Krąg" (Spinning Circle)
The Municipal Culture Center is an organizer of numerous folk festivals, cultural events and festivals, such as the all-Poland Dance Festival “Wirujacy Krag” (Spinning Circle).
Up-to-date and attractive film repertoire is offered by ‘Ostrovia’ cinema which is a member of an all-Poland studio cinema network. Since 1928 Maria Dabrowska Public Library comprising about 90 thousand volumes, organizing exhibitions, meetings with people of culture and classical music concerts on the Summer Stage has been functioning.

 The Library has been collecting documents on the town and its inhabitants’ life. The cultural offer of the town is enriched by ‘Kotlownia Stage’ amateur theatre offering its audience numerous premieres, concerts and performances with participation of famous Polish actors. 
Town events are brightened by a ‘Youth Brass Band’ which originated from a firemen’s orchestra set up in 1904. In its repertoire there are pieces of classical, march, light and banquet music as well as parade drill presentations.

Ostrow Mazowiecka is a town of young people who entering the XXIst c. count on solid and thorough education. The municipal authorities devote considerable amounts to rebuilding and modernizing the educational base. At present in the town there are three modern kindergartens, four primary schools, four grammar schools, a school for children with special needs and a school of music. Secondary level education is provided by two Complexes of Schools and the Secondary School with hundred year’s tradition.

 Other schools having their seats here are:  the Postsecondary Vocational School of People and VIP Property Protection, the Economic Sciences Department of the Higher School of Finances and Management in Bialystok and University College of Environmental Sciences in Radom ( with the branch in Ostrów Mazowiecka)
